About this site

Some information about this site:

This website was created as an online place to archive a paper that I wrote in 1993, while working toward a graduate degree at Carleton University. I’ve had a longtime interest in local architecture, so decided to research the history of the many buildings constructed by Boyd Brothers of Osgoode, Ontario. My project advisor was Kelly Crossman.

A bit about Bev Wigney

I’m a freelance writer-photography living on a farm in the Osgoode area of eastern Ontario. I spend a good deal of time studying, photographing and writing about the fauna of eastern Canada. My nature photos have appeared in magazines, books, websites and television. They may also be found in my online galleries. In addition, I maintain Burning Silo, where I write about natural history and other topics.

I can be contacted by email.
