tiny deer
A view of the garden through the window at my friend’s house this morning (click on image for larger view). Tiny deer or large flowers? A bit of both.
After a few small preparations, my friend and I are just about ready to head out to points known and unknown (to us as yet) in southern Oregon and northern California. I hope to be able to post fairly often along the way. It seems that it isn’t too difficult to find places to connect while on the road these days. Guess we’ll find out. Stay tuned!

Have a safe and grand journey. That’s a lovely deck and a very cute little deer on the other side of the fence.

Tht’s such a beautiful part of the country. My partner is from southwaet Oregon, and he took me back there a couple of years ago. We had a grand time- I hope you do, too.

robin – Thanks! We’re having a good time so far and seem to be moving into better weather too. Drove down as far as Grants Pass yesterday – took the backroads for a good part of the trip and it was really quite nice.

Bethany – Thank you! I do hope to have a few nice adventures to blog about.

Doug – Yes, it sure is a beautiful part of the country. I especially love southwest Oregon – especially along the Smith River and some of the other rivers of the Siskiyous. It’s also beautiful out at the coast around Brookings. If I could pick a second place to call home, it would probably be here.
