call for photos for Good Planets!
This is a call for photos for the next edition of Good Planets! For those of you who don’t know the history of Good Planets, it began life on roger and robin’s ever wonderful Dharma Bums. At first, it was a weekly Saturday morning feature on their blog, and after that, the torch was passed to several others, to appear weekly for a month at a time on their blogs. This month Good Planets will be appearing here at my blog under a new bi-weekly schedule, so watch for it on March 10th and 24th. The theme will be “home” — however contributors choose to define it. It could be your home planet, or your backyard. Just send in a photo that illustrates how special a world it is that we inhabit. You don’t need to have a blog to participate. All you need to do is to email a .jpg file of the image that you wish to share. If it’s hosted on a Flickr gallery or similar web location, just send me the URL of the image. If you email the image file to me, try to keep it no larger than 250kb as I have a very slow dial-up that takes ages to download. I’ll use as many photos as I can. Be sure to include a little bit of information about the photo that you send so that I can include a caption about it. If you have a blog, be sure to let me know the name and URL. After the photo appears here, it will also become part of the Good Planets photo gallery on Flickr. If you haven’t visited it already, drop by to view the many wonderful photos that have been contributed in the past. If you have any questions about submitting an image, just email me.

r.s. – If you have a photo that you want to submit, but it seems in bad condition, you could send it along and I’ll take a look at it to see if there’s anything that could be done to fix the problem. I wouldn’t worry to much about it being perfect anyhow as Good Planets is more about sharing you world and not so much about creating a perfect photo.
