Springtime in the Moulton Gorge
A May hike in Frontenac Park

At noon on May 18, 2003, we set out to hike the 12 km. Tetsmine Lake Loop trail in Frontenac Park. The trailhead is located beside the Kingsford Dam down a lane off of Devil Lake Road.

~ Northern Watersnake (Nerodia sipedon sipedon) ~

The trail begins at the wooden footbridge over Kingsford Creek. Many small fish and 2 Northern Watersnakes were seen swimming in the calm, clear water alongside of the bridge as we began our hike.
