red fox is back

This afternoon at 14:41 hrs, the Red fox (Vulpes vulpes) trotted up the trail from the back of the farm and then back and forth across the backyard near the picnic table. At one point, he stopped and pounced on the snow a couple of times as though he had located a mouse or squirrel beneath, but he didn’t seem to catch anything.
