all shook up

See that psychedelic green and yellow BLOB in the middle of this photo — situated over Thunder Bay at the west end of Lake Superior? I flew through that THING today! (This image comes to you courtesy of robin at Dharma Bums who checked the progress of my flight on something called Flight Tracker). Anyhow, yes, that was my plane that flew through that yellow and green thing this afternoon. Wheeeee!! What did I do to deserve these exciting plane rides?

At the moment, I’m sitting here in Vancouver airport on my way down to Oregon. Yes, I know. What a surprise! Well, more about this later. Gotta run! My next joyride awaits!

That did look like it was going to be a bumpy ride. I hope the flight between Vancouver and Portland was better. I don’t fly, but I do get a kick out of tracking flights. Here’s the site I use, and there are many others:

I’m glad you’re in our timezone, and sorry about the weather.

Bev, you must have ants in your pants, always on the move :-)

Oregon! Lucky you. If you see my brother in Portland, say say howdy! :)

robin – The flight from Vancouver from Portland started out relatively smooth, but then got pretty bumpy. However, I made it here in one piece! Thanks for posting the link to the flight tracking site! And…uh… yes… about the weather! Yikes! Cool and rainy here, but Don says it is warm, sunny and summerlike back home. Wouldn’t you know it?!

Peter – Yes, it’s starting to seem that way, isn’t it! (-:

Dave – Yes, Oregon! I was in Portland last night — we could have crossed paths without even knowing it.

The lower end of the blog is passing over Kansas City where I sit. I remember that storm as brief but intense. If you happen to pass through Eugene and see my daughter, would you say hello for me too?

pablo – Yes, the storm probably was brief as it seemed to be a narrow system. It took a bit over half and hour for us to pass through. It wasn’t nearly as bad as some turbulence I’ve been through, but I don’t really enjoy flying all that much at the best of times, so I wouldn’t have minded a bit smoothing flight! I was through the Eugene area yesterday. Will post something on my blog as soon as I can get a photo uploaded – perhaps later Friday.
